Catch, Trap and Tap.

The Kimura Masterclass. My complete system for the move I've built my game around: how to catch the grip, trap the arm so it can't escape, and finish from top, bottom and the back.

What the masterclass covers

  1. Catch

Where the Kimura grip shows up in a roll, and how to take it the moment it appears, before your partner hides the arm.

  2. Trap

How to pin the elbow and shoulder so the arm can't straighten or slip out, even against someone bigger and stronger.

  3. Tap

Clean finishes from top, bottom and the back, plus the transitions into the crucifix when they defend.

Who it's for

Blue and purple belts

You can hit the Kimura sometimes, but it keeps slipping away. This gives you a system instead of a single move.

Grapplers over 35

You want submissions that rely on position and leverage, so you can keep tapping people without burning out your body.

Coaches

A clear way to teach the Kimura in a sequence your students will actually remember.

Anyone stuck at their belt

One reliable attack chain changes how every roll feels. This is a good place to start.
